The FPCClientConfigSettings collection holds a set of FPCClientSettingsSection objects. Each FPCClientSettingsSection object defines a section of Firewall client settings for a specific client application. When the Firewall Client software is installed, the Firewall client settings sections are provided to the Firewall Client Agent service (FwcAgent) on Firewall clients together with the name or IP address of the Forefront TMG computer or array to use, the set of IP address ranges that are included in the local network (the local address table or LAT), the automatic discovery settings for Web browsers, and the name or IP address of the Web proxy that Web browsers are to use. These settings are updated each time that a client computer is restarted and every six hours after an initial refresh is made.
Other configuration options are set and stored locally on Firewall clients in configuration files. For more information about Firewall client settings and configuration files, see Firewall Clients.
The FPCClientConfigSettings collection can be accessed through the FWClientConfigSettings property of an FPCArray object.

This object inherits from the FPCPersist object, which contains methods and properties related to the persistent storage of an object's data. They include methods for exporting the object's data to and importing it from an XML document.
The FPCClientConfigSettings collection defines the following methods.
Method | Description |
---|---|
Creates a new FPCClientSettingsSection object in the collection and returns a reference to it. |
|
Retrieves the requested FPCClientSettingsSection object from the collection. |
|
Removes the specified FPCClientSettingsSection object from the collection. |
The FPCClientConfigSettings collection defines the following properties.
Property | Description |
---|---|
Gets an enumerator object for the collection. |
|
Gets the number of FPCClientSettingsSection objects in the collection. |
|
Gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates whether the Forefront TMG computer can use an encrypted control channel for communicating with Firewall clients. |
|
Gets or sets a Boolean value that indicates whether the Forefront TMG computer supports Firewall clients running earlier versions of the Firewall Client software. |
Name | Description |
---|---|
CancelWaitForChanges | Cancels the registration established by the WaitForChanges method (for use in C and C++ programming only). |
CanImport | Returns a Boolean value that indicates whether the properties of the collection and its elements can be imported from the specified XML document. |
Export | Writes the stored values of all the properties of the collection and its elements to the specified XML document. |
ExportToFile | Writes the stored values of all the properties of the collection and its elements to the specified XML file. |
GetServiceRestartMask | Retrieves a 32-bit bitmask of the FpcServices enumerated type that specifies which services need to be restarted for currently unsaved changes to take effect. |
Import | Copies the values of all the properties of the collection and its elements from the specified XML document to persistent storage. |
ImportFromFile | Copies the values of all the properties of the collection and its elements from the specified XML file to persistent storage. |
LoadDocProperties | Provides the XML document's properties so that you can know what information can be imported from the document. |
Refresh | Reads the values of all the properties of the collection and its elements from persistent storage, overwriting any changes that have not been saved. |
Save | Writes the current values of all the properties of the collection and its elements to persistent storage. |
WaitForChanges | Registers to wait for an event indicating that the contents of the object have changed (for use in C and C++ programming only). |
Name | Description |
---|---|
PersistentName | Gets the persistent name of the collection. The persistent name of an object is a name that is unique for the object at the respective level of the COM object hierarchy. |
VendorParameterSets | Gets an FPCVendorParametersSets collection that can hold sets of custom data for extending the collection. |
This collection implements the IFPCClientConfigSettings interface.
